Into the new year with a new book!
I have a wonderful opportunity for an artist's residency that I want to tell you about! There is a group in Shelton, Washington called Hypatia In The Woods. They have a cabin nearby called Holly House that they allow female artists from all over the country and around the world to use, if they qualify. It's especially for emerging artists of any type-painters, dancers, writers, etc. that have limited means and need a space to pursue their creativity in solitude. I've been here since January 12th and have another week to write, ponder and relax! My hope is to finish the first draft of The Deer Stone and create a performance piece from the two books instead of just doing a reading.
It will be fun to present my work in this way at bookstores, coffee shops, libraries and book clubs. Any suggestions are welcome!
